Now available, an interesting book about the traditional village of Vamos in Crete!

The book contains many beautiful pictures and information about the history of the village. There is a village walk that brings you along the sightseeings of the village and there are additionally 6 easy country walks in the area of Vamos. Each walk description includes extra information and a detailed map. To see some example pages of the book click here

 

The book will be available in different shops in Vamos and in other villages like Kalives, Almyrida and Georgioupolis. The price of the book is € 7,50

Well...maps and Creece.., that doesn't go together. Also in Crete walking maps are scarce and often unclear and not up to date. Lately there is some little improvement but most areas of Crete are not available on detailed walking maps. The most useful maps are:
